Three Inventions for flute & oboe

Gordon Jacob was born in London. He studied at the Royal College of Music, London, with Stanford, Parry, Howells, Boult and Vaughan-Williams.
Later, he taught at the Royal College for over 40 years. His pupils included Malcolm Arnold and Joseph Horovitz.
His compositions include much Symphonic Wind Band music.
